Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are battling over ownership of their Los Angeles mansion, following their split last month (March 2002).

According to friends, quoted in British newspaper The Sun, the
feud is turning acrimonious as the pair both insist they should be
able to keep the $2.8 million (£2 million) Beverly Hills property
they bought together last year (February 2001) as a marital home.
A pal of Spears says, "I think Brit is quite keen to hang on to
it. It is a really special place in a great location."
"They haven't lived in it yet so it's not like the place has any
bad memories."
"She and Justin are just going to have to sit down with their
lawyers and sort it out."
