Hollywood star TOM CRUISE refused to accommodate new love Penélope Cruz in the same hotel rooms he shared with ex-wife NICOLE KIDMAN during their London stay. The heart-throb actor, who flew into London last week (21st January 2002) with Penelope to promote new movie VANILLA SKY (2001), booked rooms at the smart Dorchester hotel. But instead of reserving his usual suite, rooms 717-719, he booked 306-308 for himself and his Spanish girlfriend.

The couple requested a light and airy room with a plentiful supply of cranberry juice and Evian water. Tom, 39, also insisted on 24-hour access to the hotel's gym during their four-day stay, and would only accept calls from his children Isabella, nine and Connor, seven. A worker at the hotel says, "The most important thing for Tom is his kids and maintaining a relationship with them. Tom made it clear that whatever time they called they must be put through to him. "
