Serial killer Hannibal Lecter will return again according to a movie fans' website. The Cinematic Happenings Uunder Development site claims producers are in discussions about a further movie after Silence of the Lambs, The (1991) prequel Manhunter (1986) is released later this year (02) - featuring SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS as the terrifying killer.
A posting on WWW. CHUD. COM says, "It seems director RIDLEY SCOTT isn't finished with the character. Scott has reportedly discussed the subject with producer DINO De LAURENTIIS for a potential Hannibal Returns, and additionally Anthony Hopkins has met with screenwriter STEVEn ZAILLIAN about where they'd like to possibly take the character.
"Another report claims that the film would be told in flashbacks and feature FBI Agent Starling hunting a different serial killer. "We have no idea as to the validity of any of this, but Hopkins is allowing himself to be digitally 'de-aged' for the upcoming prequel/remake Red Dragon, so it seems anything is possible.
