Harry Potter Smashes Box Office Records Worldwide
HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (2001) has proved a massive box office success all across the globe. The film, based on the multi-million selling series of children's books by J.K Rowling, has managed to smash first weekend opening earnings records in America, Great Britain, Brazil, Scandinavia, Netherlands, Austria and Belgium.
Next week (ends 21st December 2001), the Harry Potter phenomenon hits a further 14 markets, including Japan, Australia and Argentina, and is set to replicate its financial success elsewhere. (CPT/SI/BRC)
