Director, Michael rymer, has dedicated his new movie Queen of The Damned (2001) to tragic Aaliyah Houghton, who died in August (2001).

Aaliyah had finished shooting for the movie, shortly before she died. Brymer was impressed with her talents and abilities when filming the movie, but insists;

"It's easy to lionise people when they're dead, but I used to say it every day during the shoot."

Queen of the damned (2001) is released in the US today (5th Oct 2001), and will feature a tribute and dedication to Aaliyah.
