Hollywood stars ALEC BALDWIN and PAMELA ANDERSON will join legendary musician SIR PAUL McCARTNEY as hosts of an awards ceremony honouring animal-friendly celebrities. The PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS' (PETA) 21st annual HUMANITARIAN AWARDS will take place on 8 September(01), and will honour an array of stars.

These will includieactress CHARLIZE THERON, rap mogul RUSSELL SIMMONS, director Wolfgang Petersen and singer CHRISSIE HYNDE. PETA, notorious for being outspoken about celebrities' treatment of animals, has recently attacked British film-maker GUY RITCHIE for hunting wild boar at Lake Okeechobee, Florida, and American TV personality JOAN RIVERS for her willingness to wear fur.
