TOM CRUISE is determined to end his marriage to NICOLE KIDMAN as soon as California law permits. Leaked court papers show the movie hunk plans to bifocate his marriage - a legal term which suggests he either has plans to remarry or to become a tax exile.

California law dictates that married couples must wait six months to conclude divorce proceedings, and Cruise's latest legal attack hints that he doesn't want to wait a day longer. If all matters are resolved, the couple could be divorced on 7 August (01).
