KATHARINE HEPBURN's release from hospital has been delayed. While doctors say the 94-year-old actress has responded well to treatment for a minor urinary tract infection, they believe she needs to grow a little stronger before they can discharge her.

Hepburn was due to be released this weekend. The hollywood star's spokesman JAMES BATTAGLIO says, "She's been in bed since Wednesday (18JUL01) and they felt it was important to get her up and walking. "
