Nic Cage To Go Ghost Riding

NICOLAS CAGE is in early negotiations to star in the movie version of MARVEL COMIC'S GHOST RIDER.

The $75 million (£58 million) film, which is expected to be the most expensive movie in DIMENSION FILMS history, is set to start filming in the autumn (01).

The director will be STEphen NORRINGTON, who was responsible for another Marvel adaptation, BLADE (1998).

Cage is no stranger to super-hero films - he had previously been mooted to play SUPERMAN, although his plans to follow in the footsteps of CHRISTOPHER REEVE ultimately fell through.

Ghost Rider joins the X-MEN (2000) sequel, SPIDER-MAN (2002) and Hulk, The (2003) among the Marvel Comic adaptations currently being or soon to be filmed. (ACW/WNWCFU/KW)
