Comic DUDLEY MOORE, 65, celebrated with champagne last night (16JUN01) as he heard that he is to receive a CBE.

The proud TOOTSIE (1982) star has vowed to pick up his CBE from BUCKINGHAM PALACE in person from QUEEN ELIZABETH II despite his crippling brain disease. He says, "I'm looking forward to meeting the Queen. Whatever it takes I'll be there. I'm so proud. " (HJ/WNSNE/ES)
