Heart-throb actor CHRISTIAN BALE is to star with EMILY WATSON in the futuristic thriller EQUILIBRIUM.

Directed by KURT WIMMER, the story features a community where the citizens are kept under control by the enforced consumption of drugs.

According to website ANANOVA Watson will play the love interest of BALE alongside actor ANGUS MaCFADYEN.

The source says, "Emily has been waiting for the right action movie to come along. She was getting tired of her serious persona. " The film is due for release in Britain later this year (01). (RP/WNWCAN/KMW)
