JENNIFER ANISTON has heightened speculation she's pregnant with BRAD PITT's baby - after the shocking season finale of FRIENDS.

The hour-long show, which aired on American screens last night (17MAY01), was focused on MONICA's wedding to CHANDLER, played by COURTENEY COX ARQUETTE and MATTHEW PERRY.

But Jennifer Aniston's character RACHEL stole the show - and set gossip in Hollywood alight - when she stood silently, hiding her pregnancy from her friends as she watched the loving couple wed.

The father of Rachel's child is yet to be identified, although she did enjoy an on-off fling with DAVID SCHWIMMER's character, ROSS. The surprise ending has been viewed by many in Hollywood's entertainment industry to be Aniston and Pitt's way of announcing a real-life pregnancy.

American comedienne ELLEn DeGENERES used her hit sitcom ELLEN to announce to the world that she was gay. Pitt and Aniston were recently spotted in California's plush Bel Air, hunting for a new family-sized home and in the past, Brad has made it known he wants at least six children with the actress.
