With STAR WARS: EPISODE II (2002)] nearing completion, creator GEORGE LUCAS is already planning a third instalment of the movie series. Shooting is wrapped up on the second episode, and the film footage in now in the hands of George Lucas' special effects company INDUSTRIAL LIGHT & MAGIC. Producer RICK McCALLUM says a rough cut of the film will be complete in June (01). He explains, "George is starting to think about EPISODE III. " Conceptual work on Episode III begins in September (01), with Episode II opening on American cinema screens next May (02). (RGS/U/ES)
