Johnny Depp To Play American TV Presenter
JOHNNY DEPP has signed up to play well known American TV presenter and supposed CIA insider CHUCK BARRIS.
The CHOCOLAT (2000) star will star in GONG SHOW, a movie about the life of Barris who invented, and presented, the popular reality TV shows GONG SHOW and THE DATING GAME, and whose best friend is ROBERT DOWNEY JnR's father.
And the plot promises to be filled with intrigue because, in his autobiography CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND, Barris claims he was an agent for America's CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY. (LE/LAT/KW)
