Russell Ready To Crowe
GLADIATOR (2000) star RUSSELL CROWE is so confident he will take home the major gong for Best Actor at tomorrow's OSCARS he has splashed out $800,000 (£500,000) on a hotel room for a post-awards party.
Crowe has invited the cream of Hollywood to help him party, including NICOLE KIDMAN, AL PACINO and on-off lover MEG RYAN.
According to Britain's THE SUN newspaper, a source at the swanky BEL AIR hotel says, "He has ordered crates of champagne and expensive buffet. He always stays here because it has tight security and the staff are very discreet." Extra security staff have been hired in the wake of Crowe's recent kidnap threat - when it was discovered he was the target of unscrupulous blackmailers. (TH/WNTSU/MCM
