Kidnap Shock For James Bond

Drug barons' plans to kidnap 007 PIERCE BROSNAN have been foiled by ex-Israeli secret service agents.

The ex-mOSSAD agents learned of the plot to capture Brosnan while he filmed Tailor of Panama, The (2001) in Colombia. The drug fiends planned to demand a $3million (£2m) ransom for the handsome star but their evil plans were stymied by director JOHN BOORMAN's good sense in hiring the former secret agents.

Yet security was scaled down when the stars Brosnan, GEOFFREY RUSH and JAMIE LEE CURTIS complained it was oppressive. Reveals Boorman, "They couldn't move without armed guards surrounding them." (PDD/WNTST)
