HOLE singer COURTNEY LOVE has bombarded GUCCI and other plush Hollywood stores with calls - asking them to donate items to pal DREW BARRYMORE, whose home burnt down recently.

According to American tabloid THE GLOBE, the widow of NIRVANA frontman KURT COBAIN collected a handbag, a denim jacket with matching dress, silk T-shirts and jewellery, which Drew thankfully accepted.

But the CHARLIE'S ANGELS actress broke down when another friend presented her with a "care package" from American clothing chain THE GAP. A source says, "She started sobbing - because she realised she lost all her designer garb and was forced to wear clothes off the rack." (RGS/TG/NFA)
