SAMUEL L JACKSON's dog leaves a dead rat on his porch every morning.

The SHAFT star says that he and his wife LaTANYA RICHARDSON have been having problems with roof rats in their Los Angeles mansion - and their dog's adding to the difficulty.

Jackson says, "We have roof rats. In Los Angeles, you have rats that live in the palm trees and they jump from the trees down to your house, especially if you have ivy. "And we got this little black Scottish terrier, he would run off into the Ivy and in the morning we'd get up and there'd be about four or five of these suckers on the back porch. He'd been taking care of these rats then he lets you know he's got you breakfast." (LE/WNV/PDD)
