Pink Slips Rain On CNBC.com

CNBC.com, operated by the NBC-owned cable network, said Thursday that it will lay off 26 percent of its workforce. The company had previously indicated that it is consolidating its online and broadcast divisions.

It also said that it is cutting 20 staffers from its broadcast payroll, including general assignment reporters Tim Tindall and Greg Miles, who have been based in New York City and Fort Lee, NJ respectively. News reports also said that L.A.-based reporter Andrew Glassman has told CNBC execs that he plans to leave the network.
