Brit Will Host US Version Of Hit UK Game Show

Anne Robinson, the host of Britain's hit TV game show The Weakest Link, has confirmed that she'll host an American version of the show. She told the London tabloid, The Sun, "Mrs. Thatcher conquered America and now I'm going to have a go." Robinson reportedly will receive $1.5 million to host the first 13 episodes of the series. (It had previously been reported that Survivor winner Richard Hatch was also being considered for the hosting job and had cut an audition in London.) Robinson's husband, John Penrose, told The Sun that the U.S. producers had been impressed by her tough manner -- especially by her delivery at what has now become a catch phrase in England: "You are the weakest link. Goodbye!"
