Judy Garland's daughter, Lorna Luft, has expressed satisfaction with the casting of Australian actress Judy Davis as Garland in an ABC-TV adaptation of Luft's book Me and My Shadows. In an interview appearing in the London Daily Express, Luft remarked, "Judy Davis is an extraordinary actress and showed she has all the tools to play my mother. ... She can do anything. She was my first choice but I wondered whether we could ever get her."
