Ang Lee's Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon officially became the most successful foreign-language film in British box-office history, topping the previous record of $4.3 million set by Roberto Benigni's Life Is Beautiful in 1999, the British Guardian newspaper reported today (Thursday). The record was set after only 20 days in release. The film has topped the British box office for the past three weekends and shows signs of continued strength, the newspaper observed.
