Online bidding for a seat on the panel of ABC's Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher on the Feb. 1 broadcast reached $15,300 Monday. The name of the top bidder at the eBay-conducted "private auction" was not disclosed. Proceeds from the sale are earmarked for Maher's favorite charity, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Since bidding does not close until Jan. 22, the actual winner of the panel seat is expected to pay substantially more than the current bid for the chance to sit at Maher's table. Thus far, 42 bids have been recorded.
