ALLY McBEAL star CALISTA FLOCKHART is blaming a chocolate chip muffin for causing her to collapse on the set of the hit sitcom.

The svelte actress, who denies reports she suffers from an eating disorder, has blamed food poisoning for the incident last month (DEC00).

A doctor who came to her aid has revealed the identity of the offending foodstuff saying, "She was either being overly dramatic or genuinely thought she was dying." Minutes before her dizzy spell Calista was seen munching the chocolate muffin.

Other crew members of the hit TV programme were also snacking on the tasty treat - and they suffered no ill effects.(JXH/WNTEX/RGS)
