To Kill a King (2003) - Details

Set in 17th century England in the aftermath of the First Civil War, this is the story of the post-war relationship between General Fairfax (Scott), who led the Parliamentary forces to victory against the army of King Charles I, and Oliver Cromwell (Roth), the leader of the Parliament and "Lord Protector of England". Friends during the war, their political differences drive them apart as they're forced to decide how to build a new England, like what to do with King Charles I.
