Brown Sugar (2002) - Synopsis
Brown Sugar is a romantic comedy in the vein of When Harry Met Sally set in the trendy world of hip-hop music. The story follows and A&R rep who starts a romance with the editor of a magazine whom he has known since childhood. Rick Famuyiwa is attached to direct for Fox Searchlight. Famuyiwa was behind 1999's The Wood, the acclaimed coming of age film set in South Central Los Angeles.
