Abba: The Movie (1977) - Details

Abba: The Movie

This movie follows ABBA on their phenomenally successful tour of Australia in 1977. The footage of ABBA live on stage and behind the scenes is linked together by the story of Ashley, a hapless radio presenter with an impending deadline to obtain an in-depth interview with the group. Ashley has forgotten his press pass and follows ABBA across Australia in an attempt to obtain that elusive interview. 'The Movie' contains some dazzling live performances from Agnetha, Benny, Björn, and Anni-Frid, and captures the atmosphere of hysteria when ABBA-fever was at it's height. Features live performances of Dancing Queen, Fernando, Waterloo, SOS, Mamma Mia, Money Money Money etc.. and some great set pieces featuring 'The Name Of The Game' and 'Eagle'.
