Husbands and Wives (1992) - Details

Husbands and Wives

At first, a secure, comfortable married couple, played by Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, are stunned when their best friends, Sydney Pollack and Judy Davis, announce that they are going their separate ways. However, once Mia begins to observe how much Judy now enjoys being single, she starts living vicariously through her-thus allowing for the flaws in her own seemingly stable relationship to rise to the surface. Written and directed by Allen, this hilarious black comedy-featuring a knockout performance by Davis-is a classic, in the tradition of "Annie Hall." By Tracey Q. Bush
