Scooby Doo (2002) - Synopsis
A live-action version of the popular cartoon Scooby-Doo has long been in development at Warner Bros with Mike Myers involved at one point. Going for a young cast, the movie will star Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne, Linda Cardellini as Velma, and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy. As for Scooby, the beloved Great Dane will be a CG character. Though specific storylines are still uncertain, one can be sure that there will be plenty of comic riffing based on the show's well-known elements as well as spooks using the latest in special effects. Raja Gosnell (Home Alone 3) directs the movie from a script by James Gunn, who wrote The Specials.
