Mother Night (1996) - Details

Nick Nolte plays Howard Campbell Jr, an American playright living in Berlin with his German wife before the war. He is soon asked by the Americans to broadcast coded messages on a Nazi radio station to which he half- heartedly agrees. However, he fails to realise that when the transmissions end, his purpose in life is also over.
