Stuck On You : Movie Review

Stuck On You (2003)For their 2001 movie, Shallow Hal, the Farrelly Brothers made an effort to tone down the vulgarity of their humor to make it accessible to younger audiences. For their 2003 entry, Stuck on You, they have gone a step further and eliminated virtually all of the humor, thereby making it anathema to most audiences, irrespective of age. Oh, there are still a few isolated moments of amusing irreverence, but these are not the same filmmakers who broke taboos and had viewers rolling in the aisles with There's Something About Mary and Me, Myself, and Irene. Stuck on You lacks energy, verve, and effective, laugh-generating comedy. It's the most disappointing thing to come from the brothers in years.
